The holidays are here, and even though we’re staying home with our families or on Zoom with friends, there’s no reason not to dress up. Whether you realize it or not, getting out of your pajamas will help add cheer to the festivities and fun.
Here are some tips on what to wear (and gifts to give, hint, hint) for the cozy, stylish holidays of 2020.
Velvet and velour are trending this year. Choose wide-leg pants for a comfortable yet elegant flair. What to wear on top? Instead of an oversized sweater choose a more fitted style for a polished look.
Sequins are a natural for the holidays. Although we saw head to toe sequins on the runway, it’s a little much for at home. Instead, combine your sequins with basics.
- A sequined camisole from the Banana Republic is perfect with black jeans for sipping hot-spiced wine by the fireplace!
- A sequin-embellished sweater from J. Jill, Talbots, or the Banana Republic will have you sparkling like champagne at your Zoom parties!
Dressing for Zoom is all about your tops. Colorful blouses or sweaters and a touch of lipstick will give you a nice holiday glow on screen! (Psst…don’t forget to click “touch up my appearance” in video settings.)
For a more casual yet festive look, try cashmere sweaters paired with plush corduroys or velvet jeans…just right for family gatherings. If you’re looking for an excuse to get out of pants that constrict your middle, (you know, for that big meal,) try a sweater dress. Whatever your style: trendy, relaxed, or classic you’ll find it at Aspen Grove!
All about comfort? Joggers have never looked better! You’ll find satin joggers at Banana Republic. Pair them with a sweater hoodie for an elegant yet sporty look.
Check out cashmere joggers at J. Jill. Top these uber soft pants with a neutral long sleeve t and a long, slim, Fair Isle print cardigan…doesn’t get much more holiday-like!
Last but not least, let’s talk about prezzy time! (You know, presents.) You’ll want and deserve a new pair of pajamas…to look and feel your best for your social media pics! (And of course, pajamas are a classic holiday gift.)

GoodTurn Cycles is a retailer at Aspen Grove - but not your typical retailer. They are a non-profit electric bike shop. A social enterprise dedicated not only to helping people achieve better health but also providing job training to young people through an amazing internship program. GoodTurn Cycles operates in a way that puts the community first. Always.
Bikes are a hot commodity these days and our GoodTurn Cycles eBike shop has many styles and options to choose from. eBikes aren't mopeds or scooters, and you don't need a special license or insurance to ride. Most eBikes will top out at 20 mph, making them a safe and fun way to explore beautiful Littleton...and yeah, our state.
Their professional team can help you find the right bike for your lifestyle.
eBike rentals are also available. If you've always wanted to test drive an electric bike, you can rent a bike from their shop and cruise the Platte River Trail on one of their comfort cruisers.
GoodTurn Cycles has a bike service department for any type of bike in the back of their store. When you bring your bike to their shop for any service or repair, you are directly supporting their job training program.
GoodTurn Cycles also offers bike tours. Take a tour around downtown Denver and check out the vivacious RINO District or get outdoors and experience Colorado's trails like a local on a mountain bike with pedal assistance. These guided tours are fun for all ages and skills.
The next time you're at Aspen Grove stop by GoodTurn Cycles and learn more about their organization. When you support this one-of-a-kind bike shop with a passion for riding, you're strengthening a movement that gives people who need a little help a path to gainful employment.
